President:
Gabbey Sloan
Gabbey is a senior Psychological Sciences major with a minor in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) and an undergraduate research assistant for the SIBS and S3X labs. She is interested in how external factors affect the family dynamic. Specifically, within marital relationships, sibling relationships, parent and child relationships, and everyone within the family system individually. Gabbey aims to earn her master's in Marriage and Family Counseling (MFT) and become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her hobbies include exercising, spending time with friends, getting coffee at 7-Brew, and watching reality TV shows.

Vice President: Savannah Trevino
Savannah Trevino is a senior Psychology major, minoring in Human Development and Family Sciences. Savannah is an undergraduate research assistant working in the PRYDe lab and the Latinx Mental Health & Resiliency Lab. She is passionate about child psychology, with research focuses on adverse experiences, trauma, resilience, social development, and learning interventions. Savannah plans to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Child & Adolescent Psychology. In her free time, Savannah enjoys staying involved at school, reading, writing, spending time with friends, and watching movies.

Treasurer: Myah Juanes
Myah Juanes is a dedicated senior majoring in psychology with a double minor in legal studies and general business. Currently interning at Regents Health Network, Myah has developed a deep passion for psychology, which began during her time at South Plains College. As a transfer student and first-generation college student, she has navigated the challenges of higher education with determination and resilience. Myah is eager to continue her academic journey by pursuing a PhD in counseling psychology, with the goal of making a meaningful impact in the field. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Myah enjoys engaging in activities that bring her closer to her loved ones, such as playing games, hosting game nights, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Volunteer Chair: Isabel (Isa) Almanza
Isabel is a senior psychology major with a double minor in Spanish and Forensic science. Isabel is currently an undergraduate assistant in the PATS lab and the FIT lab. She is interested in forensic psychology, ethnic minority groups, and clinical psychology. She is particularly interested in researching ACEs and BPD. Isabel aims to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, volunteering in her community, and traveling whenever she can.

Membership Chair: Izzy Salazar
Izzy Salazar is a senior psychological science major with a minor in forensic sciences. She is an undergraduate research assistant working in Dr. Taraban’s cognition lab. She is interested in forensic psychology, specifically working with those who are victims of crime. Industrial-organizational psychology is another avenue of psychology Izzy wants to pursue. Striving to build strong leaders and leadership teams to improve the work environment is interesting to her. Izzy aims to pursue graduate school to obtain her Master's in I-O Psychology. You can find Izzy working in the pharmacy at Market Street, playing with her dog Nami at the park, or in her apartment baking sweet treats and watching Gilmore Girls.

Social Chair: Savannah (Sav) Davis
Savannah is a first-generation college student majoring in psychological sciences with a minor in sociology. Savannah is passionate in learning about subjects such as child development, personality disorders, and the effects of trauma. Savannah plans on attending graduate school to earn her PhD in clinical psychology to become a clinical psychologist with a specialization in children and adolescents. In her free time, Savannah loves to listen to music, go to concerts, and spend time with her two cats, Goose and Ivy.

Graduate Liaison: Abbs Kortenhoeven
Abbs Kortenhoeven is a third year PhD student in the Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience program. Her research focuses on the impact of trauma and PTSD in civilian populations on visual attention. When she’s not doing research or teaching, she enjoys running marathons, painting, and hanging out with her two cats, Chamomile and Lavender!
